The “Arts Chat with Ling Kiong” series returns! Jointly presented by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) and the National Library Board, and hosted by SCO’s Principal Conductor, Quek Ling Kiong. As part of SCO’s Seamless 24/25 season, this engaging talk will offer a deeper look into the music of the “Rhapsodies of Spring 2025” concert, featuring SCO Guzheng Associate Principal Xu Hui and SCO Liuqin Musician Zhang Li as soloists.
Zhang Li will delve into the origins and unique characteristics of the liuqin while Xu Hui will share about the diverse styles of guzheng playing and explore the nuances of interpreting classics and adaptations.
