Senior Executive (Venue Marketing)

Responsibilities:

  • Market spaces within Singapore Conference Hall (SCH) to potential customers and coordinate the booking of spaces
  • Manage and coordinate hirers’ bookings and requests during their events
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the venue and provide site information to clients and other stakeholders
  • Manage and run site-viewing requests
  • Manage the invoicing process for hirers’ bookings
  • Manage a team of ushers and their work schedule
  • Perform concert duties during Singapore Chinese Orchestra and hirers’ events/concerts
  • Develop SCH venue rental package kit
  • Perform operational and administrative functions as required

Requirements:

  • A degree in any academic discipline
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Able to work independently and under pressure with a passion and drive to work with people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Able to work on weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays for event duties
  • Experience in venue marketing and/or event management will be advantageous

Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Marketing Communications) – Digital Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and manage digital marketing and social media marketing campaigns to promote SCO concerts, events and general branding
  • Develop effective digital marketing content such as eDMs, social media posts with artwork, video and/or audio materials to grow new audience base, increase web traffic, conversions and positive branding
  • Plan and manage websites under SCO (including SCO, Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra and Singapore Chinese Music Competition)
  • Plan, measure and report concert survey findings and performance of digital marketing campaigns; track and analyse results and provide findings for management and funders’ reports
  • Provide creative and new ideas to maximize SCO’s online reach through digital innovations, keep abreast of latest trends on social media (such as IG, TikTok)
  • Operational duties such as manage and coordinate front-of-house during concerts.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or Business with at least 2 years of experience in marketing/digital marketing
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop, and Canva design software
  • Proficient in video and audio editing software (such as Adobe Premier Pro CC, Final Cut Pro)
  • Good Knowledge in website maintenance and management, using Joomla and Wordpress Content Management Systems
  • Knowledge of Google AdWords, Google analytics, SEO, SEM, social media and email marketing is highly desirable
  • Good verbal and written skills in both spoken English and Chinese for working with English and Chinese-speaking stakeholders and handing bilingual marketing content
  • A wordsmith, with interest and natural flair in writing will be advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in local and overseas arts company will be advantageous
  • Knowledge and exposure in orchestra/music/performing arts industry is an added advantage
  • A good team player, yet independent, resilient, with good initiative, meticulous with an eye for details and able to work with tight deadlines.
  • Able to work on weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays for concert duties

Technician/Senior Technician

Who Should Apply

This position requires solid hands-on live lighting rigging and operating experience, and candidates should have demonstrated track record of professional service to the theatre and/or arts sector. Additional qualifications related to the job would be an advantage.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and tearing down all technical equipment for SCO, SNYCO and hirers’ events
  • Prepare and operate the lighting system for live production, including rigging necessary lighting equipment
  • Occasional live sound mixing, projection and other technical systems for SCO, SNYCO and hirers’ events
  • Maintain the lighting equipment and ensure they are in good and safe working condition
  • Keep abreast of the latest advances in technologies and techniques in the industry
  • Provide technical assistance for audio and video recording and transmission projects, including coordination with orchestra library and archival departments
  • Collaborating with other technicians and the staging team

Requirements:

  • A diploma in the field related to lighting technologies or a minimum of 3-years of experience in a theatre technician role in lieu of diploma.
  • Proficiency in theatre lighting operating systems
  • Basic knowledge in sound and video operating systems
  • Good understanding of the physics of light, technical aptitude
  • Good colour vision for executing and operating lighting systems
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to details
  • Proficient in English, and Chinese for liaison with Mandarin speaking musicians and stakeholders
  • Able to work on weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays for concert duties
