Singapore, 29 March 2019 (Friday) – Singapore Chinese Orchestra’s (SCO) Caring Series returns in 2019 to perform at hospitals and nursing homes in April 2019 to patients and healthcare personnel. SCO Caring Series is an initiative which brings the healing touch of Chinese orchestral music to patients and healthcare personnel and to offer them an opportunity to appreciate the arts. SCO hopes to bring encouragement to the dedicated healthcare workers working on the frontline through music.
SCO Executive Director, Nominated Member of Parliament Terence Ho said: “SCO’s Caring Series concerts is just one of the many programmes and initiatives SCO has in place, with the objective of bringing the music closer and accessible to the people.”
Conducted by SCO Assistant Conductor Moses Gay, audience will get to enjoy and groove to pop and evergreen tunes like Take Me Home, Country Roads, Top of the World, You Must Strive to Win(爱拼才会赢), Bracing the Chill(凉凉)and more. 9 April (Tuesday), 3pm - United Medicare Queensway*
11 April (Thursday), 6.30pm – Jurong Community Hospital Tower C, Community Hub
12 April (Friday), 1.30pm – Assisi Hospice*
16 April (Tuesday), 3pm – United Medicare Toa Payoh*
17 April (Wednesday), 2pm – United Medicare Elizabeth*
18 April (Thursday), 12.30pm – Tan Tock Seng Hospital
*These are closed-door concerts for their residents’ confidentiality and safety concerns.
As SCO Caring Series is an initiative for the wellness of patients and healthcare personnel, public members are welcomed to join us for our concerts held at public hospitals.
