Singapore, 3 January 2013 (Thursday) – The Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO)’s Outdoor Rhapsody returns to the Singapore Botanic Gardens to welcome the lunar new year. SCO’s newly appointed Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong conducts.
Quek Ling Kiong will conduct the SCO to perform a selection of festive tunes such as traditional folk tune Tao Jin Ling, Liu Tian Hua’s Nocturnal Peace, Zhou Cheng Long’s Joyous New Year, Kuan Nai-chung’s Bumper Harvest Worship and arranged pieces including Melodies of Spring and Dance of the Golden Snake.
