Singapore, 1 July 2013 (Monday) – The Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) will launch its 2013/2014 Concert Season on 15 July 2013 (Monday), 12.30pm at the Singapore Conference Hall Exhibition Hall. SCO Music Director, Tsung Yeh and General Manager, Terence Ho, will introduce and share the exciting programmes lined up as well as present an insight into SCO’s new initiatives in the new season.
SCO Concert Season 2013/2014
The Concert Season 2013/2014 will run from August 2013 to July 2014 with a series of exciting concerts and events. Internationally renowned artistes from the United States, Germany, China and Taiwan will perform with the SCO. SCO will also continue with its ever-popular annual concerts. Tsung Yeh will unveil the exciting concert and programmes at the media launch.
Mega Events in 2014
SCO will embark on two major events in the new season. SCO will go on a concert tour to China in May 2014. SCO is also set to clinch a record in the Guinness World Records in a mega concert in June 2014.
SCO’s New Initiatives
SCO will announce a new appointment in the orchestra – Young Assistant Conductor-in-Residence. This new appointment is SCO’s initiative to groom young local conductors.

SCO CONCERT SEASON 2013/2014 MEDIA LAUNCH
The Media Launch will be held on 15 July 2013 (Monday), 12.30pm at the Singapore Conference Hall Exhibition Hall (Level 1) with a heart-thumping performance by the SCO ensemble.
