Singapore, 2 January 2014 – Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) will perform an evening of Chinese New Year festive tunes at the Singapore Botanic Gardens on 19 January 2014, Sunday, at 6pm. This concert is proudly sponsored by Keppel Land. Admission is free.
SCO Young Assistant Conductor-in-Resident Moses Gay will conduct the SCO to perform a selection of all-time favourite atmospheric pieces such as Li Huan Zhi’s Spring Festival Overture, Gu Guan Ren’s Sturdy Steeds Gallop, Leroy Anderson’s Horse and Buggy, Johann Strauss’s Voices of Spring, Lo Leong Fai’s Spring, Li Min Xiong’s A Well-matched Fight, Huang Yi Jun’s Full Moon Blossoms and Spring Festival Suite.
The Keppel Land – SCO Outdoor Rhapsody brings melodies played by traditional Chinese music instruments to the masses. Keppel Land has been a firm supporter of the arts. As part of the commitment to give back to communities and enrich lives, Keppel Land are proud to sponsor a series of four outdoor concerts take place at the Singapore Botanic Gardens on 4 August 2013, 13 October 2013, 19 January 2014 and 5 April 2014.
