Singapore, 31 December 2013 (Tuesday) – Tickets to 11 January’s Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO)’s Rhapsodies of Spring 2014 concert are sold out! Limited tickets to 10 January’s concert are still available for grabs! This concert is collaborated with Capital 95.8FM.

In this much-anticipated Lunar New Year festive concert, SCO Music Director Tsung Yeh will conduct the SCO to perform a selection of festive tunesThe radio station has specially choreographed a comedy-musical skit titled Welcome the Year of the Horse in the Lion City where DJs will take on the roles of martial arts experts. Besides the skit, DJs Liang Peng, Zeng Sheng Lian and Pan Jia Biao will narrate, storytell and sing a special piece titled Celebrate with 958.

Established singer, Fang Qiong, will charm the audience with her crystal clear voice with popular song list – The Story of the Small TownMisty Rain, Swan Goose and Petral. Head of Strings at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Qian Zhou, will also perform as a special guest violinist in Fang Qiong’s vocal pieces. SCO’s very own guan musician will play hebei folksong Tending Donkeys and Summer Palace. The evening will wind up with a traditional rousing finale where everyone will come together to sing a whole medley of New Year songs, bring good tidings to 2014!
