Singapore, 14 January 2014 (Tuesday) – Chinese New Year is around the corner! Get into the festive mood with an abundance of festive tunes at the Deutsche Bank – SCO Lunchtime Concert on 28 January 2014 (Tuesday), 12.45pm at One Raffles Quay. Admission is free.
SCO Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong will conduct the SCO ensemble with a string of New Year tunes, which includes Celebrating the New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai, Spring Breeze Kisses My Face, The Return of Spring, Morning in Spring, Spring in the Alley and Wishing You All The Best. SCO’s dizi musician, Zeng Zhi, will perform Whip The Horses On while percussionists Duan Fei and Xu Fan will perform Jiangzhou percussion piece Bull Fighting Tiger. Don’t miss erhu musician Qin Zi Jing in the not-to-be-missed famous erhu piece, Horse Racing.
