Singapore, 29 January 2016 (Friday) – SCO welcomes the upcoming lunar new year with a lunchtime concert at Raffles Place. Deutsche Bank – SCO Lunchtime Concert titled Dancing with Spring will be held on 3 February 2016 (Wednesday), 12pm at One Raffles Quay, South Tower Lobby. Admission is free.
Under the baton of SCO Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong, SCO ensemble will perform festive lunar new year tunes including In Spring （春天里）, Chun Feng Wen Shang Wo De Lian （春风吻上我的脸）, Tian Mi Mi （甜蜜蜜）and Cai Shen Gong Xi Tai Ping Nian （财神恭喜太平年）.
Audience can also enjoy renditions of other popular songs including Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango, Sim Boon Yew’s arrangement of Bo Ji Yu Feng Zheng Wu Qu （簸箕与风筝舞曲）, Liong Kit Yeng’s arrangement of Sugar-coated Haws Folk Song （冰糖葫芦中华民谣）, Sway and Can’t Help Falling in Love.
