Singapore, 16 August 2016 (Tuesday) – Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) Music Oasis concert series returns to Singapore Botanic Gardens on 17 September 2016 (Saturday), 6pm at the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage to reminisce the good old days. Admission is free.
Under the baton of SCO Assistant Conductor Moses Gay, the orchestra will perform a selection of memorable pieces including Unforgettable Tunes of Yesterday. The piece is made up of seven classic hits from the 1960s and 1970s including Orchid Grass, Village Path, Walking in the Sunset, Soft Breathe of the Wind, Pretty Lady, I Wish and Sweetheart.
The orchestra will also perform Give Me a Rose and The King of Romantic Hits, a unique medley of more than 30 classic Mandarin hits. Recalling their favourite scenes from the romantic movies, audiences can sing along with the most recent hit songs including Those Years and A Little Happiness.
In the finale, SCO will perform It’s ABBA Time, a medley of songs featured in the hit musical Mamma Mia. The medley includes Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, S.O.S, Money, Money, Money, Dancing Queen, Mama Mia! and The Winner Takes It All.
