Singapore, 5 September 2017 (Tuesday) – The Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) will perform at the Ang Mo Kio Central Stage on 19 September 2017 (Saturday) at 7pm. Concert is free admission.
Under the baton of SCO Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong, SCO will celebrate Singapore’s multiracial harmony with pieces of different races such as Di Tanjong Katong, Yarkaiyin Kaatchhi, Anhui folk song Fengyang Flower Drum, a medley of popular Chinese songs – Unforgettable Tunes of Yesterday, and Beautiful Clouds Chasing the Moon.
SCO zhonghu musician Wilson Neo Yong Soon will perform Chen Yao Xing’s erhu concerto War Horses Galloping; and SCO dizi musicians Lim Sin Yeo and Phang Thean Siong will perform double dizi concerto Grasshopper Fooling with Rooster together.
