Singapore, 15 May 2018 (Tuesday) – Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) returns to the Singapore Botanic Gardens this June holiday on 9 June 2018 to present orchestral classics for the family. Conducted by SCO Assistant Conductor Moses Gay, this concert promises a wonderful family day out by the lawn. Admission is free.
Relive your childhood with Lo Leung Fai’s Memories of Youth and be enjoy classics such as Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite, rearranged by Qu Chun Quan. SCO will also perform crowd-pleasers like The Dagger Society Suite and Sabre Dance. The concert will also perform SCO composer-in-residence Eric Watson’s The Ceilidh, a piece based upon various folksongs from Scotland, Ireland and England.
