SCO’s zhonghu section will display their mastery of the huqin in this showcase, where section principal Lin Gao, associate principal Wu Ke Fei and musicians Li Yuan, Wilson Neo, Sim Boon Yew and Goh Cher Yen will present an array of huqin repertoires. Look out for two new pieces from Sim Boon Yew, who has written numerous Chinese orchestral compositions. These new creations were specially commissioned by the SCO and will make their world premiere at this concert.
