The first concert of 2016 will be a concert featuring leading female plucked-strings musicians under the baton of Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong. World-acclaimed Konghou musician Wu Lin will perform Liu Wei Guang’s Qing Ming Shang He Tu and present a Singapore premiere of a piece Liu Chang Yuan composed for her – konghou concerto Kong Gu You Lan. Talented former Singapore Youth Chinese Orchestra members, Singaporean twin sisters Tan Su-Min and Tan Su-Hui will perform talented young Singaporean composer Phang Kok Jun’s new double concerto for zhongruan and guzheng, Ancient Dreams and their self-arranged Wine Revelry in the form of a duet for zhongruan and guzheng.
