The old year exits while the new one beckons, and 2014 begins with a shot of spring celebrations! Li Huan Zhi’s merry Spring Festival Overture raises the festive spirits. DJs from Capital 95.8FM return to collaborate with the SCO for the third time. A short skit and witty banter look set to be on the agenda, with lots of laughter in store! Established singer, Fang Qiong, will charm the audience with her crystal clear voice. Head of Strings at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Qian Zhou, will perform as a special guest violinist in Fang Qiong’s vocal pieces. SCO guanzi musician Han Lei will also whip up a tune. The evening will wind up with a traditional rousing finale where everyone will come together to sing a whole medley of New Year songs, bringing good tidings to 2014!
