SCO’s erhu and yangqin musicians – Zhou Ruo Yu and Ma Huan – will stage a unique strings concert featuring the erhu and yangqin. This concert will feature a selection of erhu and yangqin pieces including Liu Tian Hua’s erhu composition Melody on One String, Tan Dun’s Poem in Two Partswhich depicts a celebration of a good hunt, as well as Xiang Zu Hua’s Night Escape of Lin Chong, a kun-cum-western musical tribute to the hero of Mount Liang.
