SCO’s 2017 “Out-of-Home” season opening concert will showcase the three SCO’s conductors – Tsung Yeh, Quek Ling Kiong and Moses Gay – presenting a programme of Southeast Asian flavour. To illustrate SCO travelling around Singapore this season, the three conductors will conduct in a relay-format in Eric Watson’s Journey Around the Sunny Island, presenting a never-seen-before concert presentation. Renowned Chinese and western strings musicians – Alexander Souptel, who was conferred the Honoured Artist of Russia medal, and Lu Yi Wen, who won the 2015 Golden Bell erhu competition gold award, will join in the fun in Gypsy Rhapsody and Amannisha, presenting the mystic flavours of the Asia continent.
