Renowned late-Chinese composer and professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Hu Deng Tiao is well known for establishing the stringed quintet performance format and his tremendous contribution to the compositions available for Chinese Chamber music and large-scale orchestra. In this concert, five outstanding SCO musicians will present his acclaimed works, including the evergreen A Joyful Night, Martial Arts in the Farmland, Three Variations of the Parting at Yangguan, The Rhododendron simsii Flower and more.
