SCO performs alongside The Purple Symphony, Singapore’s largest inclusive orchestra facilitated by the Central Singapore Community Development Council.
The orchestra brings together talented musicians with and without disabilities in a milestone concert as part of the SCO30 celebrations.
This inspiring evening is our way of giving back, expressing sincere gratitude to the stakeholders, partners and community who have journeyed with us through the transformative power of music. The Purple Symphony opens the concert with Overture: Symphony in Purple, composed by their Composer-in-Residence Liong Kit Yeng, followed by delightful pieces that reflect Singapore’s rich cultural and artistic diversity.
For the first time, both orchestras will come together on stage in a shared musical journey. Audiences can look forward to music that illuminates the varied expressions of love as well as film and popular music! An evening certain to warm hearts and uplift spirits, this concert reaffirms SCO’s commitment to inclusivity, nurturing talented musicians with diverse needs, and giving back to the community that has supported us over the years.
