The Singapore Chinese Orchestra Company Limited would like to invite applications for the following positions:
Erhu Musician
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of bachelor qualification in music performance
- Possess excellent technicality and ability in music interpretation
- Possess relevant orchestra performance experience and professional knowledge
- Able to accurately sight-read stave scores and simplified scores

- A copy of your full resume (including education and professional experience)
- Video recordings of the following solo works:
- Two (2) choice pieces of contrasting styles
- Solo music scores for the solo pieces played
- Video recordings are to fulfil the following requirements:
- Contains no accompaniment
- Uploaded to online platform (eg. YouTube, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Weiyun Cloud) and set to unlisted if applicable; avoid using Baidu Cloud.
- Has not been digitally enhanced or edited, and recorded according to the following requirements:
Category Requirement File Format MP4 (preferred), MOV, or AVI. Use H.264 codec for best quality-to-size ratio. Resolution Minimum 1080p (1920×1080); 4K optional for higher clarity (Best). Frame Rate 30 fps (standard); 60 fps acceptable for smoother motion. Audio Quality Use a high-quality microphone (external preferred). Ensure accurate sound capture with minimal distortion or background noise. Lighting Soft, even lighting. Ensure both face and instrument are clearly visible. Camera Setup Landscape orientation. Eye-level or slightly above. Use a tripod or stable surface. Framing Full upper body and instrument visible. Ensure hands and posture are clearly seen. Background Neutral, quiet, and distraction-free. Avoid visual clutter or movement. File Size Limit Max 1GB. Compress if needed, but maintain audio and video clarity File Naming Format Files to be saved in the format “Name – Repertoire”
- If the recording does not meet the aforementioned requirements, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra will not consider the application.
- All applications will be assessed. Only shortlisted application will be notified for audition and interview.
- Applicants are responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of the information they submit. If any false information is found, their eligibility will be revoked upon verification.

SENIOR EXECUTIVE (HUMAN RESOURCE)
Job Responsibilities
- Provide HR operational support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, exit management, and maintenance of employee records
- Administer payroll processes, employee claims, insurance matters, and liaise with insurers as required
- Monitor and manage employee leave, attendance, off-day records, and HR documentation
- Coordinate staff training activities and liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Support staff welfare initiatives, employee engagement activities, and HR committee meetings
- Liaise with SNEF and relevant government/statutory agencies on manpower-related policies, regulations, and compliance matters
- Prepare HR-related data for labour statistics, surveys, audits, and regulatory submissions
- Monitor HR and manpower-related developments and regulatory updates in the media
- Assist in HR budget preparation, financial approvals, billing, and payment processing
- Perform general HR administration and support duties as required.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to senior management and cover the duties of the Assistant Manager (Administration) when required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Candidates with a Diploma and relevant working experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Relevant experience in HR operations, general administration, or corporate support functions is an advantage
- Familiarity with Singapore employment legislation and manpower practices and/or experience liaising with government or statutory bodies (e.g. MOM, SNEF) is advantageous
- Proficient in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) and English, as the role requires liaising with Chinese‑speaking employees, stakeholders, and external parties
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Meticulous, detail‑oriented, and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and management information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
