This April, the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra (SNYCO) brings youthful exuberance and a variety of Chinese orchestral music to the Esplanade Bay area. SNYCO will present 2 sets of programme, both are delightfully curated to bring out the best of SNYCO!

The youth orchestra begins the concert with a playful and witty contrast of music genre – a modern Chinese classic titled Gallant Steed, composed by Tang Jianping, with Leroy Anderson’s Horse and Buggy. The first set presents The Silk Road by the prolific Chinese composer Jiang Ying, which transports audience to the confluence of cultures that connects Asia with Europe. While the second set presents work of another young and talented composer Wang Danhong with Ode to the Sun, and finally the fun crowd-pleaser piece Train Toccata, composed by Jiang Ying.

A weekend outdoor musical treat by the Bay, presented by the Singapore National Chinese Youth Orchestra, not to be missed.
