In conjunction with the chamber music series, SCO Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong hosts a special pre-concert talk with Li Baoshun,  SCO Concertmaster /Section Leader (Strings). Together, they will guide you into the timeless traditions of Chinese music.

Combining expert insights with live demonstration, Li Baoshun presents famous erhu solo and concerto excerpts, sharing their distinctive charm and tonal nuances. He also highlights how techniques such as fingering, bowing, and vibrato brings out the expressive beauty of these classics.

Listen beyond the notes, to the soul of the strings.

“Arts Chat with Ling Kiong” is organised by Singapore Chinese Orchestra and the National Library Board. The talk is conducted in Mandarin.
